SUMMARY:31st Annual Rotary Lights Display at Riverside Park
DESCRIPTION:Kicking off our 31st year on Nov 28\, 2025\nThis year\, 2025\, we are celebrating our 31st year with our Rotary Lights Display at Riverside Park. \nNearly 130\,000 visitors per year enjoy this holiday tradition while driving\, walking or taking a carriage ride through Riverside Park. Join us for the opening night parade at 5pm immediately followed by our opening ceremony and fireworks on opening night\, November 28. Santa and a couple of his reindeer will be in the park every night through December 23. The Live Nativity\, Carriage rides\, Hay rides\, and Chili Revolution will be available on select nights. Free s’mores are available every night near the giant snowman. All Abilities Night returns on Monday\, December 1st from 5-8pm. We will be adjusting the lights and music to accommodate individuals that may not have been able to experience the show in the past due to flashing lights and loud music. The ice rink and free skate rental will be available to use when the weather allows. With over 3\,000\,000 lights\, you can imagine the breadth and depth of this holiday display. And remember\, it’s FREE.\n“We ask for voluntary food and cash donations”. \nLocation: Riverside Park – 410 Veteran Memorial Drive\, La Crosse \nHours: \nNovember 28\, 2025 through December 31\, 2025. \nThe park opens at 5:00 p.m. daily and gates will close after the last car in line at 10:00 p.m. with the following exceptions: \nChristmas Eve – 5 to 9:00 p.m.\nChristmas Day – 5 to 9:00 p.m.\nNew Year’s Eve – 5 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. \nPlease Note:\n​Dec 1 | 5 – 8 P.M. This event is perfect for kids of all ages who want to experience the wonder of Halloween without the fright! There will be plenty of fun for the whole family\, and activities to experience! \nEvent Highlights:\n🎃 Trick-or-Treat Trail: Explore the winding paths of the Enchanted Forest\, where friendly creatures and magical beings are ready to hand out delicious treats at every turn. Bring your own bag or pick up one at registration!\n🎃 Creative Crafts & Activities: Let your creativity run wild at our craft stations. Enjoy special Scouting Activities and more!\n🎃 Photo Opportunities: Capture the magic with plenty of photo ops throughout the park. These will be more open and families can move through as they please. SUMMARY:Veterans Memorial Dedication
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Veterans Memorial Dedication featuring guest speaker Don Weber! \nLa Crosse City Vision Foundation‘s newest project will be a bronze statue of an American flag and the bald eagle sculpture to be placed in Riverside Park\, La Crosse\, Wisconsin. \nThis sculpture is to honor our US military. Our US military has six branches: the Army\, Navy\, Air Force\, Marines\, Space Force and Coast Guard. \nThe six emblems of those branches of service will be placed around our bronze flag. \nThank you to our Veterans Memorial Statue\, Ring of Honor\, Sponsors. \nThe bronze statue of the American flag represents the original 13 Colonies with its stripes and the stars represent the 50 states of the Union. \nThe bald eagle has been the national bird of the United States since 1782. The bald eagle with its outspread wings is the Great Seal of our country. The fierce beauty and proud independence of this great bird aptly symbolizes the strength and freedom of America. \nOur Veterans represent the freedom\, dignity\, and true meaning of being an American. To honor our Veterans\, La Crosse City Vision Foundation will place this bronze statue with granite bricks to stand in Riverside Park for years to come.
