Join us for the opening reception of the traveling Chicāhuac Exhibition: Women’s Stories of Strength & Sacrifice
from Rural Mexico to the Midwest on Thursday, June 4th!
5:30pm open house, 6:00pm program
Celebrate these incredible women from Mexico with us. Enjoy refreshments, make a marigold craft, walk through the exhibit, and hear about the inspiration behind the creation of this exhibition and why these six women are heroes to their families. Guests from Puentes Bridges and family members of those featured will be present and leading the program.
This program is connected with Light for the World – La Crescent and our community conversations around immigration. You’re invited to learn more about the impact of this work at our June community conversation, which focuses on real stories. Save the date: June 17th at 6:00pm at the La Crescent Community Building.
