A new documentary is set to premiere in La Crosse tomorrow, promising to captivate audiences with its focus on conservation and the beauty of the Driftless Area.
“Spirit of the Driftless” follows the success of “Decoding the Driftless” and offers a fresh perspective on the region.
Producer Tim Jacobson said the film explores themes from the award-winning work of Sustainable Driftless through a new lens. Jacobson said it aims to inspire conservation and sustainable growth by deepening people’s appreciation for the Driftless Area.
“I also would like to add that this film is dedicated to George Howe from La Crescent, Minnesota, who passed away last year. And so the film is dedicated to him and his spirit of getting people out in nature and helping young people to learn about and appreciate our beautiful natural landscape,” said Jacobson.
The premiere will take place Tuesday evening at the Viterbo Fine Arts Center. Pre-show activities begin at 6:15 p.m., with the screening at 7 p.m. followed by a reception.
